Type: (.?). The specimen in the Meyrick collection is labelled, " La Trinidad, Costa Rica, 4,000'. 20," and is a female. The sex does not rule out the specimen as type, since Meyrick frequently mistook the sex of his specimens, and though the specimen in his collection is labelled La Trinidad, I am inclined to believe it is the actual type. The size is correct and the description tallies with the moth. The specimen is without abdomen.
